"In the air". The social and poetic event, which will become a film of the same name, will be held in Uzhgorod
The idea was initiated by a known Transcarpathian writer and director Vyacheslav Yegorov. The participant of numerous short films festivals, tireless creator, true Uzhgorod citizen and patriot could not process the emotions caused by the dramatic events of our history inside himself. He began to seek the way out for them. And he came up with a project that Vyacheslav plans to implement soon.
According to the author of the upcoming project himself, all these events that have occured in our country recently "have a certain kind of smell." They bring something new to our nation as a whole and to each member of the society. And poets traditionally have been voice of the people. They are the ones who can express in words the unspeakable, something that is "in the air", but not everyone can hear and feel that.
Vyacheslav suggested Transcarpathian poets the following format. Each of them will send one and only one stanza from their oeuvre, chosen at their own discretion. The topic is the recent events in Ukraine. Then Vyacheslav Yegorov will make, so to speak, a "poem" using these stanzas, which the authors themselves at the appointed time will recite on camera, walking the streets and embankments of Uzhgorod. These shootings, which will take place during up to three days, will be combined in a mini-movie. Which will actually capture the current historical moment, thoughts and feelings of society, feelings of everyone of us.
Naturally, the symbol of the project, which is called by its founders "social and poetic" is an air balloon.
The organizers invite all poets, known and unknown, to participate and send the following information:
- First name, last name, age and city where you live;
- One poetic stanza from your own oeuvre;
- Contact telephone number;
- Information whether you can personally come for the shooting, which will take place in the center of Uzhgorod, approximately after Easter (in the last week of April)
