Daffodils are not the only attraction! (PHOTOS)
In the Valley of Daffodils, there are many interesting things. Meet the Siberian iris (Iris sibirica L.)!
The flora in the protected valley, under the influence of glaciers, has migrated from tundra and taiga on the one hand, and from the Carpathians, which were also covered with glaciers at that time, on the other hand. The Siberian iris is the most notable of taiga species, which are preserved in the lowlands of Transcarpathia. In 70s it was almost completely destroyed. They had to increase the number of species by sowing seeds harvested in the fall. As a result of the work done, today in the Valley of Daffodils, there are about 400 species of the Siberian Iris.
