Chop customs officials seized from a Hungarian a "Ford Mondeo" and cigarettes (PHOTOS)

April 10, 2014, at the checkpoint "Luzhanka-Berehshuran", a citizen of the Republic of Hungary driving a car "Ford Mondeo" intended to leave Ukraine. Specialists of the customs office were alerted by the appearance of the vehicle. It was decided to conduct a thorough examination of the car. As a result, they found almost 5.5 thousand packs of tobacco products of foreign origin. The cigarettes were hidden in specially made stash in the back of the vehicle.

At this time, the officials of the customs post "Luzhanka" are implementing measures for documenting the detected offense under Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Sanction of the article provides for seizure of the vehicle as well as fine in amount of 100% cost of the items of customs regulations violation and their confiscation.
