Students' price reductions for transport may be abolished  16 January 2013 09:12  6328658 029240

The draft law on higher education proposed by a group of MPs from the three opposition factions, does not provide for students's right to price reductions in transport. This was reported by a member of the Youth Council at the Cabinet of Ministers Anastasia Sabova.
The fare in Kyiv subway is 3 hryvnias.
"MPs excluded the provision that the university students who are studying full-time are eligible for price reductions in transport" - Sabova said.
She noted that most of the students come to study to regional centers or capital. "Today, students have, for example, 50% discount for travel on railways and these discounts actually save parents' money and allowance" - the activist said, commenting on the initiative of the opposition.
