Last year, Chop Customs expanded the budget by almost 1.5 billion hryvnias

Over 2012, entrepreneurs operating in the zone of Chop customs imported taxable goods at 5,508,800,000 UAH, in total weight of 264,000 tons. Compared with the 2011, the volume of taxable imports increased by 6.72%. Therefore Chop customs fulfilled the financial objectives set by the MOF of Ukraine in the amount of 1,480,000,000 UAH, over 90% of which is aimed at forming regional budget subsidies.Customs charges on imports of components amounted to 365.9 million hryvnias, customs clearance of oil products – 205.5 million hryvnias, other goods – 908.8 million hryvnias.   Summing up the last year, the Head of the Chop customs Pohylko Oleksandr said that thanks to the reforms in the customs system, the process of customs clearance and control for businesses and citizens is greatly accelerated. Among the most important innovations is a significant reduction in the number of customs cargo inspections and setting clear deadlines for customs control and clearance. Also the procedure for electronic declaration of goods was successfully introduced, which involves electronic exchange of documents between customs and businesses. This "dialogue" with the customs office had a positive impact on the business climate in Transcarpathian region.So, now at the Chop Customs, 70% of operations for customs clearance of goods is carried out using electronic declaration procedure, which greatly speeds up customs clearance. This shows that the business community welcomed customs innovations. Moreover, they are willing to continue honest and transparent cooperation with the customs authority. By the way, Chop Customs is in the top three leading customs authorities of Ukraine regarding the implementation and use of electronic declaration system.Outlining the priorities of the Customs in 2013, Pohylko Oleksandr stressed out the implementation of the strategy developed by the Customs "Fair business – fair taxes."  "Our dialogue with entrepreneurs will continue to be pragmatic, constructive, aimed at filling the state treasury," – the head of the customs office said.
