Border guards detained four Georgians and one Ukrainian

Officers of Chop border guard detachment prevented another attempt to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Slovak border. Local residents reported about unknown persons near the border, on the territory of the border post "Kamianytsia" of the "Huta" department. As a result, border guards prevented illegal border crossing by four men, who said that they were the citizens of Georgia, although did not present any supporting documents to the border guards.

During further inspection, border guards found that the Georgians had entered the territory of Ukraine legally and intended to illegally enter the EU.

In addition, the border guards of "Uzhgorod" department in the same checkpoint detected a female citizen of Ukraine who tried to cross the border to Slovakia in violation of applicable laws. During border control she presented a valid passport of the citizen of Hungary, but was unable to answer several questions of border guards, and eventually admitted that she was a citizen of Ukraine and confirmed her identity with another passport - that of a citizen of Ukraine. Against all detained offenders, administrative procedural documents were drawn for trying to illegally cross the border. Decision on their fate will be made in court.
