Baloha called Azarov to repent to local communities  29 January 2013 11:15  5429380 029966

The politician urged to tell people the truth about public finances and start saving.

"A new fiscal year has began, and Treasury bills of local governments are still blocked. This means that funds are allocated manually. But we also see other things. Since the beginning of the fiscal year, the central government almost daily have been spending millions hryvnias on repairs, computers, "media monitoring" and other "important things." That is, nothing has changed" - Victor Baloha said.

"Of course, there are no funds.   I, as a former mayor of the city, have always been and will be advocating that local communities must have the funds back. Because it looks very strange when the state uses the money of local governments, and the prime minister denies it. Therefore, the government, if they has enough courage, must reach out to people and tell them the bitter truth about the real situation about public finances. And believe me, if it is sincere, the people will support and understand them. But only on the condition that all state institutions will be saving" - the politician said.
