Tyachiv officials will be punished for violations of the rights of people with disabilities

Following the inspection conducted by the prosecution of Tyachiv district on the observance of legislation to protect the rights of people with disabilities on the part of the local social security department, 4 officials have been brought to justice.

The Prosecutor of Tyachiv district, having considered the inspection report, made relevant orders to the head of Tyachiv District State Administration to eliminate violations and prosecute officials of the social security departments of Tyachiv DSA, including their heads.

During the inspection, they found a number of gross violations in the activities of local social security departments in terms of ensuring the implementation of social security for disabled, and performing control functions in this area.

It was found out that in violation of the procedure for provision of certain categories of citizens with sanatoriums and health resorts permits, labor and social security authorities, employees of district departments do not comply with the order for granting permits for special categories of citizens.

            

In addition, the inspection revealed a number of violations in the activities of local social security departments in terms of granting subsidies for reimbursement of costs for housing and utilities, purchase of liquefied gas, solid and liquid household furnace fuel.

  

 

 

 

Furthermore, it was found out that the commission, in violation of paragraph 5 of the Regulations, took the decision to grant subsidies to citizens who were not entitled to them. During the study of the cases, it was established that persons who were not working and studying and who were not registered in the employment service as job seekers were registered at the applicants' addresses.

Currently, the violations have been eliminated, and the offenders were brought to justice.
