Transcarpathian contract students may receive benefits

Students who are enrolled in Transcarpathian universities are eligible to receive benefits for tuition fees. November 16 last year, the regional deputies adopted the program of regional higher education development for 2013 - 2017, which provides for benefits to reimburse tuition fees to university contract students from ​​disadvantaged families (orphans and children without parental care, disabled children, children whose parents are disabled, children from families that have 5 or more minor children).  This year, it is planned to allocate 200,000 UAH from the regional budget for benefits for student tuition fees.

By October 10, the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of the Regional State Administration should have obtained from Transcarpathian universities lists of students who are eligible for such benefits. According to the regional program benefits shall be provided to students for the academic year in amount of: one hundred percent of the amount provided for in the contract until the end of training for students from among orphans and children deprived of parental care, persons who have lost both parents and entered a university under the age of 23 years;

fifty percent of the amount provided for in the contract, before reaching 23 years old (as of November 1 of the current academic year): for disabled since childhood, I - II groups disabled, students whose both parents (persons in loco parentis) have disabilities of I or II group, students from families with 5 or more minor children, including students of vocational schools under 23 years.
