From the beginning of the year, bodies of the Ministry of income in Transcarpathia have received 8627 declarations of financial position and income. 5657 people have submitted declarations to the territorial authority of income and taxes, in which they have stated incomes, taxes and expenses paid during the reporting period, supported by appropriate payment and settlement documents in order to receive tax rebate. In total, according to the results of calculations of refundable tax rebates, Transcarpathians are to be returned more than 5 million hryvnias from the taxes paid by them.

Officials of income and taxes authorities note, that mostly citizens use the right to a tax rebate in order to return part of the taxes paid for expenses actually made during the tax year for education, and part of the amount of interest on mortgage loans. A citizen who receives wages may include to tax rebate both his or her expenses and expenses of first-degree members of his or her family who do not receive wages. Full list of grounds that give right to a tax rebate is set out in Article 166 of the Tax Code of Ukraine.

The Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region remind that the deadline for submission of the Declaration on property and income for citizens to obtain tax rebates for 2012 is set for December 31, 2013.  If a taxpayer does not exercise the right to tax rebate for 2012 in this year, such right is not carried over to the following tax years.
