The deputies adopted the program to combat smuggling and corruption

The regional program to combat smuggling, organized crime and corruption for 2013-2015 was approved in Transcarpathia. 84 deputies of the regional council voted for the appropriate decision. The executor of the program will be the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region. The program was presented by the first deputy head of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the region Victor Lyubenkov.

Funds for implementation of the program will be allocated from the regional budget - in total, 3,405,000 UAH. For these money, they plan to buy special-purpose road transport, telecommunications and network equipment and special-purpose equipment.

The main objectives of the program are implementation of activities aimed at preventing the illegal transportation of goods across the customs border of Ukraine, detection and prosecution of organizers and members of organized groups involved in organizing illegal activities, conducting activities aimed at detecting and preventing corruption, bribery and other abuses by officials of customs, border guard and other bodies with supervisory authority in the field of foreign trade.
