The Regional Prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in criminal proceeding on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of the Art.368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine against the chief of the land management and land protection department of the State Land Agency office in Uzhgorod district of Transcarpathian region K.
It was found out that the manager demanded from the citizen M. an illegal profit in amount of 35 thousand dollars for assistance, using his official position, in deciding whether to grant her a lease of 10 hectares of land in Patskanyovo village council in Uzhgorod district.
Upon the receipt of part of the illegal benefit in amount of 132,000 UAH, the official was arrested by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
The suspect was arrested according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of unlawful benefit by an official).
