Rybak is inspecting the work of the customs post on the border with Slovakia

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak came to Transcarpathia with the official visit. The first destination of the trip is the international automobile checkpoint "Uzhgorod" on the border with Slovakia. The Head of the Parliament was accompanied by the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda and the Head of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region Vasyl Ivancho.

First, Volodymyr Rybak examined the system of customs control. In particular, the equipment that helps to find hidden contraband and narcotics. 

The head of the customs post "Uzhgorod" Victor Nechyporenko told about the activities of the customs post. Thus, this year, more than 837,000 people, more than 300,000 vehicles, and 843,000 tons of goods have already crossed the border.

Lyudmyla Kozlovska - the chief of the administrative management department of the Chop customs - told about the development of custom posts, which are located in the region. In particular, she informed about works at checkpoints "Luzhanka - Beregsurany", "Dyakovo-Halmeu", "Uzhgorod-Vyshnye-Nyemetske" and "Uzhgorod", the development of which began in 2006. The arrengement of the checkpoint "Uzhgorod" was included in the reconstruction investment project of the Border Cooperation Programme TACIS. 

Reference. Customs post "Uzhgorod" of the Chop customs is a customs authority - a separate structural subdivision of the Chop customs that performs the tasks entrusted to the customs service of Ukraine. The structure of the customs post "Uzhgorod" consists of 4 departments of customs clearance.
