Today, during the session of the regional council, the deputies made changes to the program for transfer of dormitories to local authorities. 11 dormitories are planned to be transfered to the municipal ownership of Uzhgorod. In particular, buildings at: Mozhaisky st., 9a, Zahorska st., 12, Zahorska st., 170, Lysenko st., 43, Ukrainska st., 18, Mussorgsky st., 3, Mozhaisky st., 5, Bohomolets st., 18/22, Jambul st., 50, Lobachevsky st., 43 and Franko st. 58a. The total area of ​​those dormitories is more than 34,000 square meters. Their repair requires more than two million hryvnias.

Overall, 18 dormitories in the region will be given to communities. Today in Transcarpathia there are 111 dormitory buildings. 62 dormitories belong to the public sector (education, social and other institutions), 15 - to communal property, 26 - to state property and 18 dormitories - to private property. 7275 Transcarpathians live in dormitories.
