New smartphones empty Ukrainians' pockets

Smartphones and tablet computers are not the best investment. Within only a year they may lose more than half of their original value, if you buy them new, and become 3-4 times cheaper on the secondary market. This was reported by analysts of the ads site Slando, having examined prices of gadgets.

For example, the smartphone Nokia Lumia 710 was announced with a price tag of € 270, while in Ukraine they started to sell it last year for 2,600 UAH. Now you can buy a new one for 1,300 UAH and a used one - for 600-900 UAH.

Last year's the most advanced smartphone Samsung Galaxy S III can now be purchased for 3,400 UAH, while last year it was sold for 6-7 thousand. In the secondary market, it can be bought for 2,500 UAH.

In November last year, they started to sell iPhone 5 in Ukraine at more than 8,000 UAH. Now, its price has dropped to 5,200 UAH, and for a used one - to 3,800 UAH.

One of the most popular tablet computers Nexus 7 of the first generation at the start cost more than 2,500 UAH. Currently, its price is on average 1,500 UAH, and in the secondary market it can be bought for 1,000 UAH. Approximately the same prices are for the cheapest version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

For comparison, in Ukraine, new cars lose up to half of their value after five years of operation. Laptops and computers become cheaper by half after three years, and household equipment and furniture on the secondary market are sold at half the original value, regardless of model year.
