In Rakhiv district they found illegal cannabis crops

Between the beds of agricultural crops, a resident of a Rakhiv district village sowed cannabis plants.

Investigator of Rakhiv District Police Roman Zhyhuts registered in the URPI and initiated criminal proceedings for illegal sowing and growing of plants of the Cannabis genus. The police found and seized 34 plants, apparently similar to cannabis, that were sent for examination.

Farmland, where they found the drug crops, belongs to a 54-year-old woman who explained to the police that she had sown the patch for future use of hemp decoction for pest control.

Even if this is true, the ignorance of the law is not an excuse. If it is established that those plants contain narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, the woman will be brought to justice - Olesya Tchaikovska, Rakhiv District Police, reported.
