In Irshava district, a drunk man almost killed his son

A drunk man stabbed his son in the area of ​​the heart, but the victim miraculously survived…

Late on Sunday, Irshava police station received the information from the district hospital that an ambulance had delivered to them from the village of Dovhe an injured man with stab wounds.

The investigative team arrived to the hospital. The victim was a 33-year-old resident of Dovhe. Doctors diagnosed him with intoxication and penetrating stab wounds of the chest on the left side – the PR Service of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region reported.

As the police found out, the incident occurred in the evening at the victim’s place. While drinking alcoholic beverages, he had an argument with his 62-year-old father. The quarrel escalated into a fight, during which the father grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the son in the chest. The stab hit the area of ​​the heart, so the victim miraculously survived.

This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations, preliminary classification – Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (grievous bodily harm). The doctors are fighting for the life of the victim, and the police are dealing with his father. The circumstances of the incident will be found out by the investigation.
