Back to the past. 38 schools of the region will be heated with wood
The Governor Oleksandr Ledyda established a working group to study proposals to the concept of sustainable development of the region by 2020. The group will have to consider proposals for the use of wood biomass for school heating.
The group will also analyze the consumption and supply of energy in state institutions, develop measures to encourage the production and consumption of alternative fuels. The head of the working group is the first Deputy Governor Igor Svyshcho. The group has approved a list of schools identified on the basis of the report of the Institute of Industrial Ecology as the most promising in terms of further implementation of the project for upgrading them to wood fuel. Among them, there are 38 schools in the region. 4 - in Beregovo, 5 - in Volovets district, 5 - in Svalyava district, 9 - in Mizhhirya district and 15 - in Khust district.
