At night, Lopukhiv village head’s car was burned down

Yesterday, the village head of Lopukhiv reported to Tyachiv District Police that at three o’clock there was a fire in his car "Hyundai Tyukson" made in 2007, which was parked in his own yard. The man localized the fire himself with a fire extinguisher. The fire originated near the junction of the hood and the windshield. The man found stains with the smell of gasoline on the car.  The estimated loss amounts to 1,500 UAH. At the scene of the incident, the police found a scorched sponge with the smell of gasoline.

The police instituted criminal proceeding over this fact under Article 194 of the Criminal Code – deliberate destruction or damage to property.
