The police constantly confiscate illegal items of firearms and cold weapons, which after a relevant court decision are destroyed. The other day, the police were destroying confiscated weapons at the Uzhgorod "Turbogaz" factory, the site of the regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Everything was carried out under the supervision of a special panel of forensic experts, police and regional office of the Security Service of Ukraine officers, chaired by the Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region, police colonel Vasyl Bukovchanyk.

In a blast furnace, they melted about two hundred units of weapons, including smooth-bore hunting rifles, gas and air pistols, knives, machetes and brass knuckles. The temperature in the furnace, where they were melting metal, was two thousand degrees.
