Medical equipment from England was delivered to Uzhgorod City hospital. Although they could not avoid some problems. According to the chief doctor of the hospital Ivan Kurakh, they encountered troubles during the customs clearance of the cargo. But thanks to the support of members of Parliament, the issue was settled almost immediately – the newspaper "Uzhgorod" informed.
The cargo was provided to the hospital with the assistance of the Rotary Club "Uzhgorod-Rock."
"Your region is very beautiful – Uzhgorod honorary citizen and a member of the above club Brian Earley said at the meeting with the Mayor Victor Pogorelov. – I have many friends here, so I know very well that good people live here. We try to help you whenever possible. Now we have brought here quality medical equipment that hopefully will help preserve people’s health."
"Uzhgorod-Rock" will also undertake to equip the dental office at the school for deaf children in Uzhgorod.
According to Victor Pogorelov, it is very important that the goods arrived at this particular time: "This visit is significant for us, because Uzhgorod strives to be better. Today, Christians celebrate an important religious holiday – the Protection of Holy Virgin. According to a church belief, our city is under this protection. Therefore, we will consider this gift as sent from heaven."
