In Uzhgorod, Ironman-2013 competition was held in... school (PHOTO)
In Uzhgorod, they held probably the best "physical education lesson" ever. In the fourth Ukrainian-Slovak city school, the teacher Jan Pokhanych realized his idea of a fun sporting event for his pupils.
He said: "We invited the triathlon world champion Mark Nyemchik from Slovakia. He was our coach and judge in the competition IRONMAN-2013.
I made a short track for children's triathlon: kids ran 15 meters, swimming was replaced with... well, almost similar exercises: they had to "dip" hands in the water. Put a swimming ring on and "swim" on the mat, then 15 meters on a scooter. And all that we did with our guest who presented to all children certificates of participation in the Ironman-2013. Mr. Nyemchik showed us his new bike, the only prototype in the world, its price is $ 15,000! Also, he showed his sports helmet, wetsuit, explained to us how to eat properly before the triathlon, and more. In the classroom we tried to disassemble and assemble the bike. In the end, we thanked our guest, and Mr. Mark decided that next year we would meet again. Probably, children from other schools in the city will also participate."
