For the first time, vision impaired Uzhgorod residents may receive an opportunity to have a friend

October 29-30, in Uzhgorod, there will be the presentation of the project to help people with vision problems. The program for training of guide dogs for people with vision problems, is being implemented in the framework of the cooperation of sister cities Korvalis and Uzhgorod.

As the project manager Oksana Bogdanets told the Reporter, "Quadruped Eyes" is a project that will allow us to begin creating centers of guide dog training in different regions of Ukraine, will help blind people to solve many critical problems.

The project provides for the acquisition of 4 labrador puppies and their training in the course of 18 months. The training of people with disabilities to communicate with quadruped friends will take another 6 months.

In addition, the legislation needs to be adjusted to take into account the rights of people with vision problems.
