Do you cross the customs border through the "red corridor"? Fill in the declaration!
Customs clearance on the "red corridor" includes filling of the customs declaration, and in the presence of goods that exceed the established norms - payment of taxes.
A passenger shall choose the red corridor if he or she carries: the goods, the total value of which exceeds 1,000 euros; the total value of which does not exceed 1,000 euros and which are imported more than once in a single day.
Cash in Ukrainian or foreign currency in amount exceeding of 10,000 euros (or equivalent) per person;
Pets subject to original international veterinary certificates from countries of such pets origin.
If a passenger carries goods: the total customs value of which does not exceed 1,000 euros and which are imported by a person, who enters Ukraine, more than once within one day, or goods, the total customs value of which is 1,000 to 10,000 euros, such goods shall be taxable with import duty in amount of 10% of the customs value and value added tax; in case of goods, the total customs value of which exceeds 10,000 euros, such goods shall be taxable with import duty at the full rate in accordance with the Customs Tariff of Ukraine and value added tax.
Taxes are accrued based on cost of goods, for which passengers must present a customs official receipts, labels and other price documents available. If such documents are not available, customs officials determine the customs value of goods on the basis of prices for identical or similar goods.
