Advertising on the roads may disappear?
The State Service for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship Development intends to push for the ban on outdoor advertising over roadway on public roads.
This was announced by its head Mykhailo Brodsky who also noted that the issue will be submitted for the second reading of the relevant bill, the press service of the agency reported.
Earlier, the deputy Kostyantin Bondaryev (Batkivshchyna) introduced the bill with proposals to ban all advertising in the city transport. The existing rules ban only the advertising applied on glass surfaces of vehicles if it interferes with unobstructed view from the interior.
According to the Ukrainian Advertising Coalition, in 2012 the volume of transport advertising (including not only the rolling stock, but also advertising designs on overpasses, bridges, as well as advertising in the stations and airports, train cars, etc.) amounted to 120 mln. hryvnias.
The ban will affect revenues to city budgets.
For example, in Kyiv, the revenues from transport advertising for the last year amounted to about 150,000 UAH, and in Uzhgorod all billboards are installed by the order of the Mayor Victor Pogorelov...
