This was the case with the two deliveries of the elite and expensive alcohol of different brands that were detained in Uzhgorod. Employees of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income withdrew from illegal trade about 5,000 bottles of alcoholic beverages of foreign origin (Russia, Scotland, Guatemala, Holland) without excise tax stamps. The estimated cost of the seized luxury alcohol is 630,000 UAH.
The information about the commission of those criminal offenses was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations. Investigators of the tax police are taking steps to establish the persons involved in illegal alcohol transportation, and conducting investigations to establish other channels of illicit supply of such products to the region.
