Vasyl Lemak: “The fate of the great country is now in the hands of millions of people” (opinion)

A well-known in the region scholar, lawyer Vasyl Lemak in his facebook also commented on the controversial government decision to suspend Ukraine’s preparation for the association with the EU.

"Is there in Transcarpathia at least one person – a simple worker, an official from Uzhgorod, a teacher from a village or a student – who supports the "delay" of European integration? Especially made in such a brutal manner. Is there any one, regardless of party affiliation, wealth or age? Emotions are going wild today, I do not envy those who will be the target of the energy of millions defrauded citizens of one of the largest countries in Europe.

I will go to the rally. By rejecting the Association Agreement with the EU, the government made a big mistake. They should have rigged another election instead – the society, unfortunately, is not so sensitive about this anymore. But the return to Europe is our common Ukrainian dream. And it was taken away after a trip to Russia. This is a humiliation of everyone of us," – Vasyl Lemak said.
