Two citizens of Eritrea on the way to Sweden were detained in Transcarpathia

Yesterday afternoon, a few hundred meters away from the border with Slovakia, border guards of the "Palad Komarivci" unit of the Chop detachment noticed two unknown persons.
The response team immediately left to detain the travelers. Having detained a man and a woman, border guards found out that they had no documents. Instead, the detainees said that they were born in 1981 and 1990 and came from Eritrea. They decided to leave their native country due to difficult financial situation. However, they had no legal way to go to the desired Sweden, so they turned to unknown persons. In exchange for reward of 8000 dollars, those persons agreed to help them get to one of the EU countries and produce high-quality fake passports. However, this promise was not fulfilled.
The detainees were taken to the border guard unit to clarify the circumstances of the offense and make administrative and procedural documents. The fate of detainees will be decided in court.
