According to paragraph 9.8 of the Traffic Rules, from October 1 to May 1, all motor vehicles moving outside settlements must have daytime running lights, and if they are not provided in the vehicle design – low beam headlights – enabled. The observance of this Rule is extremely important, as unfavorable weather conditions: fog, rain and dusk in autumn significantly reduce visibility. By additional designation of the moving vehicle the driver significantly reduces the risk of an accident.
Since October 1, Transcarpathian Traffic Police officers have drawn up 96 administrative reports against drivers who do not comply with this Rule, totaling about 39,000 UAH – Traffic Police Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region reported.
