Officers of Tyachiv District Police were conducting search operations during which they revealed two instances of sales and use of cannabis in the park in Tyachiv.
An 18-year-old unemployed resident of the village of Chumalevo in Tyachiv district sold a 16-year-old female resident of the district about 3 grams of marijuana for 100 UAH. The girl wanted to try the product and together they smoked a joint in the park in Tyachiv, where they were arrested red-handed by the police – Ivan Filip, Tyachiv District Police informed.
In the second case, a 23-year-old resident of the village of Vyshkovo in Khust district came to visit his 15-year-old girlfriend, a resident of the village of Ruske Pole in Tyachiv district. Walking in the center of Tyachiv, the guy offered the girl to buy from him a little marijuana.The minor consented to the proposal and bought from the guy a match box, which contained about 5 grams of the drug.Then the guy offered the girl to go to a secluded place and smoke a joint. They went to the park, where they were detained by the police….
According to Tyachiv District Police Chief, Pavlo Basarab, criminal proceedings have been initiated over those facts under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the offenders face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 8 years.
