Vasyl Yabryk, the co-founder of the skating rink network in Transcarpathia said that this season, skating rinks will be operating in Uzhgorod, Mukachevo and Tyachiv. This year, they do not plan to expand the network in quantity (perhaps it will be done the next year). However, in Mukachevo, for example, they have increased the area of the rink by 15%. As for opening of the indoor arena in Uzhgorod, the negotiations are still ongoing.

Vasyl Yabryk promised that social skating - free skating for schoolchildren and students - would remain relevant. Teachers or school principals should take care of organization. There are also discounts for corporate groups. The price in this case will include the services of instructor.

The innovation of the season will be the "Fankofest" festival. Its goal is to make a feast for Uzhgorod residents and visitors.

Victor Vakulevych, executive director of the skating rink in Mukachevo added that in addition to increasing of its area, they had upgraded range of skates.

The cost of the rink is 20 UAH on weekdays, and 25 UAH on holidays and weekends. Skate rental price is 15 UAH in all rinks across the network. In Tyachiv, prices for skating are 5 UAH lower.

For the first time, the "Ice School" - a school of figure skating - will be opened in Mukachevo.

Recruitment of children in the hockey school continues.

Andriy Maksimovich, the head coach of the children's hockey team said that in the summer the team members had traveled to the Slovak camp where children attended workshops with a top-rate hockey player from Slovakia. Recruitment of children in the groups continues. On Sunday, there will be the demonstration performance (the beginning is at 10.00). And on Saturday, there will be the competition on the occasion of the season opening (4 teams will be competing). December 14, the Hockey Championship of Transcarpathia starts. The final will take place in late February - early March.
