The water is rising

The Center of Hydrometeorology warns about the rise of water levels on the rivers of the country, informs Hlavkom.

March 10-11, it is expected that water levels in the Transcarpathian rivers, basins of the Prut and Siret will continue to rise 0,2-1,0 m above the levels as of 8.00 on March 10.

March 10-12 due to flood wave from upstream, on the Tisa river near the town of Chop the water will rise by 3.0-3.5 m without threat of negative consequences.

March 11, on the Dniester near Zalishchyky the maximum flood level is expected with the height of 460-510 cm above the zero of gauge and water flow rate of 700-800 m3 / s (as of 8.00 on March 10, the water level is 388 cm above the zero of gauge).

March 11-13, on certain rivers of the Pripyat basin (within Volyn region) a low-intensity rising of the water level 1-5 cm above the current mark is expected. With further increase of the water level, on the rivers of Pripyat and Stokhid, near Lyubyaz and Mikhaylovka, due to high water levels, the further flooding of floodplains and agricultural land will continue, in some settlements of Lubeshiv district the water may reach the marks of the initial flooding of objects and riverine houses.
