Poles accused Transcarpathians of the killing of their wolves

Polish environmentalists appealed to the Ministry of Environment of Ukraine, Institute of Zoology of the NAS of Ukraine and Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center with an urgent request to stop the killing of Polish wolves, that sometimes run into neighboring to Poland regions of Ukraine (Transcarpathian, Lviv and Volyn).

In Poland, the wolf is listed in the Red Book, in Ukraine (the only country in Europe) it is unreasonably considered as "pest" and is subject to mass killing.

Accusing Ukraine of flagrant violation of environmental laws and abuse of wolves, Polish environmentalists demand to protect at least Polish wolves by announcing the 23 kilometers zone along the Ukrainian-Polish border as a security zone for wolves.

However, the coin, as you know, has two sides. Recently, uzhgorod.in reported that this winter Volovets district residents suffered from a real wolf terror - 90 kilogram predators attacked the highlanders' households.
