Kaskiv and Ledyda dreamed about the Olympics in Volovets and Mizhhirya

On Thursday, March 7, the head of the regional administration Oleksandr Ledyda met with the head of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine Vladislav Kaskiv.

The main issue discussed by the participants was the project "Olympic Hope 2022". If the Olympic Games are held in Ukraine, some competitions may be held in the region.

- There is a relevant order of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich on this project. Its feasibility study has already been finished. So now all participating parties should focus on the performance of their duties, so that Ukraine could apply in time for the competition to host the Winter Olympics in 2022 - Kaskiv said.

For his part, Oleksandr Ledyda said:

- Preparation of such a massive project is a good impetus for the further development of Transcarpathia, and in particular, Mizhhirya and Volovets districts. After all, the new infrastructure, the facilities built for the Olympics, attracted investments will make Carpathian region more attractive to tourists and investors.
