A Transcarpathian has composed a unique piece of music. On Sunday - on the First National TV channel

March 10, on the occasion of 199th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant Ukrainian poet, artist and public figure Taras Shevchenko, the First National channel will air the music performance "Passion for Taras." The music was composed by our fellow, a native of Svalyava district Yevhen Stankovych. Libretto is by V. Vovkun based on the works of Taras Shevchenko.

The beginning of a live broadcast from the National Opera of Ukraine is at 18:00.

"Passion for Taras" is a new big musical form, unique in its melodic gift, symbolic images - it is mythological. Yevhen Stankovych, a famous Ukrainian composer, sends the words of the poet as a wise philosopher and a subtle psychologist, tragedian and pantheist. The composer's rework of Taras Shevchenko's poetry is a stunning combination of the past with the future which touches the very heart of our spiritual energy.

The unique piece of music "Passion for Taras" will be performed by the National Academic Choir of Ukraine "Dumka", soloists, ballet and the National Symphony Orchestra.
