Transcarpathians mostly emigrate to Hungary and the Czech Republic
Today, May 8th, at the Board of the migration service of the region they analyzed the results of the first quarter of this year, the press service of the service reported.
During this period, nine and a half thousand passports of a citizen of Ukraine have been issued in Transcarpathia. 849 offenses have been detected during checks of the compliance with passport system regulations. 749 people have been fined for a total of over 33,000 UAH.
Almost 11 thousand our countryman have received passports of a citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad, and 1639 travel documents for a child have been issued.
In addition, for the first three months of this year the migration service of the region have taken into consideration 112 appications for the citizenship of Ukraine and registered 99 departures for permanent residence in foreign countries. The most popular emigration countries for Transcarpathians are Hungary and the Czech Republic.
231 foreigners with temporary residence permits are registered at the Main Directorate. Most of those foreign nationals stay on the territory of Transcarpathia in connection with employment in enterprises of the region and work in religious organizations. 1705 foreigners reside in the region permanently.
