The Governor wants to establish the Academy of Arts (PHOTOS)

The Academy of Arts will soon be established in Transcarpathia. This was announced by the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Oleksandr Ledyda during the opening of traditional "Erdeliy's readings".

   - In Transcarpathia there are all prerequisites for the establishment of such a facility - those are world-famous Transcarpathian school of painting with luminaries Erdelyi and Bokshai, talented contemporary artists and art critics, and our own art institute. Therefore, we have every opportunity to establish the Academy of Arts, which known Transcarpathian artists have long dreamed about. If all goes according to plan, if we have the support of the Ministry of Education and the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, already in 2 years there will be a new high school in the region - the head of the region Oleksandr Ledyda said.

   The idea of establishing such an institution was supported by the President of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine Andriy Chebykin.

      

   The International scientific-practical conference "Erdeliy's readings" have been held in Transcarpathian region for many years - since the establishment of the Transcarpathian Art Institute in 2003. For two days, the participants from all over Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic will be working during the sessions, conducting art discussions. During the conference there will be sessions in sections of art and culture, arts and crafts, and art education.
