Cigarettes were found in iron ore

During the weekend, at the railway crossing point "Pavlovo" border guards of "Palad Komarivtsi" unit together with representatives of customs found in a train nine boxes of cigarettes.

During the border control of the train with bulk cargo of iron ore sinter, which was heading from Ukraine to Slovakia, officers found signs of foreign objects in the cargo of a gondola. Taking this into account, the senior border guard decided to take additional measures to check the gondola and its cargo by the border guards and customs officers.

As a result of the in-depth inspection, under the iron ore the inspectors found 4,500 packs of cigarettes "Jin Ling" hidden from border and customs control. The cigarettes were in nine cardboard boxes that were wrapped in polythene and buried at the depth of 70 cm.

The found tobacco products were seized and assessed at 22,500 UAH.
