A Serbian will have to go home on foot. And all that because of cigarettes (PHOTOS)
An attempt of one of the guests of our country to illegally import cigarettes across the border turned out unsuccessful.
A car "Hyundai" with Serbian license plates, driven by a citizen of Serbia was heading to Hungary through the checkpoint "Tisa". The Serb chose the simplified control lane - the "green corridor". However, border and customs officers had doubts as to the appropriateness of the chosen lane, therefore the car was sent for in-depth inspection.
As a result of the joint inspection of the vehicle by the customs officers, they found cigarettes "CHESTERFILD blue" and "CHESTERFILD red" with the excise brand of Ukraine, hidden from the border and customs control. The tobacco products were in a specially made cache in the bottom of the car. In total, 3,200 packs of cigarettes were hidden in the cache.
As a result, the cigarettes were seized and estimated at 35,800 UAH. The same fate befell the car that was assessed at almost 29,000 UAH.
