300,000 UAH will be spent to repair a roof of a Hutsul hut in Uzhgorod museum (PHOTOS)
Every year, 85,000 tourists visit the Museum of architecture in Uzhgorod. They are, in particular, Russians, Hungarians, Slovaks and, of course, the residents of other regions of Ukraine. One of the oldest ethnic open-air museums has a lot to show, as Transcarpathian museum exhibit is expanding with every year. Currently, there are more than 16,000 exhibits.
- During May holidays the museum was visited by many tourists, especially from Belarus. It should be noted that youth are interested in the history of our region. I was glad to see excited eyes of our young visitors looking at our houses, churches, - the leading guide Nelya Hrytsiuk said.
Today, the museum also has a lot of visitors who came to congratulate the museum staff on their professional holiday - the International Museum Day. Among the guests there is the deputy head of the regional administration, Ivan Kachur. During a meeting with the team of the open-air museum, the official, in particular, presented the diploma of the Regional Administration to the Senior Fellow of Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life Mariya Naipaver.
- Your work is noble and important, because you save cultural heritage. I am sure that your funds will continue to expand with interesting exhibits. The regional government, for their part, will help the museum. In particular, we have planned the replacement of the roof on a Hutsul hut. The cost of the planned works is 300,000 UAH, - Ivan Kachur said.
Also on this day in the museum, the third regional festival of folk groups of aesthetic education "Rainbow chime" started. This year, 23 groups participate in the festival.
