Vynogradiv cyclists were given 1,000 free high visibility vests

Such event was recently held in the Transcarpathian town of Vynogradiv. The vests were purchased by a known local philanthropist, a member of Vynogradiv City Council Yosyp Sherehi.

- We wanted to help our cyclists and make their trips on the roads safer. Our region, unfortunately, is famous for a considerable number of accidents involving this particular two-wheeled means of transport. So we decided to change this statistics - the philanthropist Yosyp Sherehi said.

Vests were given to employees of the largest companies in the district, "WET Automotive Ukraine", "Sanders-Vynogradsv" LLC, "Hrono-Vynogradiv" JSC and to local residents who use this mode of transport.

Residents of most European countries now actively use such vests. Their main purpose is to reflect the light of car headlights at night. Their effectiveness has been proven by experience of western countries. At the same time, Ukrainians are not yet accustomed to protect their live in such way.
