On June 23, the State Emergencies Service in Transcarpathian region reported about two tragic drowning incidents.
At 15.47, a 55-year-old resident of the village of Dusyno in Slalyava deistrict was reported to have drowned in his own pond. The body of the deceased has been removed by the local population.
At 19.16, a 26-year-old resident of the village of Svoboda was reported to have drowning in the lake of the "Boomerang" LLC (the village of Dyida, Beregovo district). The body of the deceased has been removed by the local population.
Causes of death of the two men are being established.
According to official information of the State Emergencies Service in Transcarpathian region, the number of deaths on the water this year has reached the previous year level – as of June 24, 2013, 18 cases of fatalities on the water has been reported in the region, for the same period of the last year – 18 cases. In total, in 2012, 37 people died in water bodies of the region – the Service informs.
