"Trickster" was released for cyber-hunting

Each year, Internet fraudsters come up with new ways to cheat users and seize their money. It is extremely difficult to prove the fault of such fraudsters. But the police are actively fighting these crimes. Thus, from 1 to 30 of June, they conduct the operation "Trickster", the official site of the Transcarpathian Office of MIA reported.

Quote: "The aim of these measures is to combat organized crime, identifying and documenting illegal activities of perpetrators involved in the fraudulent appropriation of other people's money in the field of electronic commerce."

In other words, the police monitor advertisements, websites that offer paid services for the opportunity to play online games. Special attention is also being paid to forums and blogs of already "registered" online fraudsters and letters on behalf of charities or people who need help.

If you really want to help, find the address of the organization, call back and find out how to transfer money, the police advise. It is not too difficult to avoid becoming a victim of Internet fraud. One only has to be very careful, not to trust offers of quick enrichment, not to make advance payments, to buy goods only from trusted online stores and auctions.

If you find out about or suspect such cases, please contact the police by calling 102.
