The European flood may come to Ukraine, weather forecasters say
The flood is already in Rivne, Volyn, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
Deputy Director of the Meteorology center of Ukraine Anatoly Prokopenko predicts that big water, which is observed now on the Danube, will come to the Ukrainian territory in 20-25 days. He also noted that due to heavy rainfall, there is an increase in water levels in the rivers, "The precipitation enhances water level rise. Today we recorded the rise of water level in the basins of the Prut, the Tisa, in the basin of the Dniester up to 50 cm."
The flood on the rivers of Rivne, Volyn, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions continues. According to weather forecasts, on June 4 in the Syan and the Dniester basins (Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk region) the rise of water level will be 1-1.5 m, but it does not impose danger. The situation is more complicated in Volyn region, where further flooding of the Pripyat may reach some settlements.
As it is known, in Germany through prolonged downpours, the water level in the Elbe and the Danube has risen dramatically, thousands of people have been evacuated. A similar situation is observed in the Czech Republic.
