By 2015, the regional government plans to transfer 18 dormitories into the ownership of territorial communities in the region. They will be transferred to the balance of city, town and village councils.
In particular, Uzhgorod will receive 10 dormitories with the total area of 34,000 square meters. Thus, the city will receive dormitories at: Mozhaisky st., 9a, Zahorska st., 12, Zahorska st., 170, Lysenko st., 43, Ukrainskast., 18, Musorhsky st., 3, Mozhaisky st., 5, Bohomolets st., 18/22, Jambul st., 50, Lobachevsky st., 43, Franko st., 58 A.
The overhaul of dormitories will take nearly 2 million hryvnias. However it is yet unknown wheather the funds for repairs will be allocated from the regional or from the city budget.
