Today in Mukachevo City House of Culture, there were celebrations to mark the professional holiday of health care workers of Ukraine, which is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of June. Mukachevo medics were congratulated by Honored Doctor of Ukraine, the chief doctor of the Mukachevo central district hospital Vasyl Vasiuta, the Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloha, the Mayor of Mukachevo Zoltan Lendyel.

First of all, doctors were congratulated by the chief doctor of Mukachevo CDH Vasyl Vasiuta, who said that this year's celebration is a kind of summary of the past year's work.    Also, the chief doctor said that the difficult economic situation in the country affects the sector in particular. Thus, there are difficulties with payments of bills by the Treasury.  The doctor believes that health reform is carried out for the so-called "optimization" - reducing of the number of beds and doctors. "But we are not going to do that and will not cut medical staff", - Vasyl Vasiuta said. He, along with the head of the hospital trade union Omelyan Reshetar, awarded his colleagues with diplomas and valuable gifts.

The chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Ivan Baloha also congratulated the medical community. "Doctors are one of the most respected professions in society. They always come to help in time of need.  I wish you success and to follow European standards of health care" - the Chairman of the Council said.

Then he awareded a number of city health care workers with decorations and presents.
