Within 10 years the number of young patients in the "Malyatko" sanatorium has doubled

The facility in the village of Onokivtsi started to work back in 1945. Back then it was a social and preventive facility for 25 beds.   Since 1965, the sanatorium has been treating only children.

Today, "Malyatko" is the only round the clock stationary medical institution in the region where children receive medical, wellness, prevention and rehabilitation services. Children aged 3 to 10 years are treated in the sanatorium.  The sanatorium operates all year round, in the summer they can take more children, because Social Security Fund covers the cost of food.

According to the chief doctor of the sanatorium Halyna Moroz, children with respiratory diseases, recurrent bronchitis are treated in the sanatorium, also they undergo rehabilitation after pneumonia, asthma, prolonged colds.

Number of children treated in the sanatorium has more than doubled over the past ten years (in 2003 - 600, in 2012 - 1300 children). This was in part due to update of diagnostic and treatment inventory of the sanatorium, introduction of modern methods of rehabilitation.

Expansion and upgrade of the facility continues. Currently, at the sanatorium they are building a new medical diagnostic building.
