In Uzhgorod, they honored the victims of the most brutal battle

In Uzhgorod on the Hill of Fame, there was a ceremony of laying wreaths to mark the mourning and commemoration of the war victims in Ukraine. 

The event was attended by the Deputy Head of Regional Administration Ivan Kachur, the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council Andriy Serbaylo, heads of law enforcement authorities, military units, representatives of veterans organizations and NGOs of the region.

June 22 marks the 72nd anniversary of the Nazi army's invasion into the former Soviet Union. It was on this day that the Great Patriotic War began. Therefore, the regional administration and the residents of the region gathered to commemorate those who died during the war. After laying a wreath at the memorial, the memory of the victims was honored with volleys of honor guards.

Ceremonies of honoring the victims of war are held in all districts of Transcarpathia, - the press center of RSA reported.
