As part of the operational-search measures against violations of the state border of Ukraine, border guards of the Chop detachment, on the night of 14 to 15 of June 2013, during the landing detained a hang glider, which had crossed the air border from Ukraine to the Slovak Republic and back near the city of Uzhgorod.
According to the Western Office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, during the detention a group of civilians tried to resist border guards, forcing them to use special traumatic weapons.
As a result, they arrested two citizens of Ukraine and the hang glider. The documents on the detention have been referred to the prosecutor and the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region to make legal decisions regarding the found criminal offense under Article 334 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Violation of international flight rules.")
