Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed the illegal activity of the head of a department of the State Land Agency office in Uzhgorod district of Transcarpathian region during the receipt of improper benefit.
The official demanded from a local resident 280,000 UAH to speed up the preparation of technical documents for the lease of land, located in the village of Patskanyovo in Uzhgorod district.
June 12, the offender was detained "red-handed" in the car near one of the locations in Uzhgorod district during the receipt of the first portion of the money – 132,000 UAH.
The prosecution of Transcarpathian region registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations the criminal proceeding against the official under Part 4 of Art.368 (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of unlawful benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pretrial investigation continues.
